Dr. Laakso has practiced psychiatry and psychopharmacology in New York City for more than 30 years and has developed treatment pathways and protocols that have helped thousands of patients improve the quality of their lives.
This is accomplished by using effective psychopharmacological medications, either alone or in combination. You are evaluated and monitored using techniques that have demonstrated accuracy and efficacy. These include specialized patient questionnaires, interviews and state-of-the art audio/visual educational and diagnostic materials.
When the diagnosis is made, a treatment plan is formulated and discussed with you regarding the benefits, risks and alternatives. Educational videos are available for viewing about your condition. All treatment requires a commitment on your part to follow the medication schedule and other recommendations, including timely follow-up visits, blood tests and medical examinations when needed.
